Turn opening notes into a melody

Start with a short musical idea instead of a blank page. Motiflo keeps your opening notes in order and builds melody sketches around them.

1. Enter a small motif

Choose an instrument, then enter up to eight opening notes in the workbench. A few notes are enough to suggest a direction. You can also skip note entry and choose a style, mood, key, meter and tempo.

2. Compare variations

Generate up to three candidates in one batch. Listen to each one and look at the score. Compare the rhythm, contour and ending before you pick a favorite.

3. Keep developing the idea

Save a sketch to your private library, expand it into a full song, or export MIDI, MusicXML, WAV or project JSON. Generation is free without a weekly quota; reasonable request rate and concurrency limits apply.
